In October 2020, brothers Bruce and Drew Lawrie launched The White Stag as a mobile bar.

Before starting The White Stag, Drew managed a wedding venue in the Scenic Rim called Royston House for six years. When Bruce returned from Canada in 2020, he began assisting at Royston in his spare time. Together, they identified a gap in the market for mobile bars and decided to create a horse float bar, given that the venue was a former horse stud. What began as a side gig quickly turned into a full-time venture when Royston was sold in 2021. Shortly after, their brother-in-law Mick joined the team, and the business expanded to support venues, vendors, and couples seeking a bespoke and personalised wedding experience, from venue selection to vendor choice.

Our family moved from Scotland to the Gold Coast in 2001. The name "The White Stag" is derived from the words "white" and "stag," both synonymous with weddings and symbolising purity and nobility. When we relocated from Scotland, we brought with us a set of white stag antlers found on our family farm over 60 years ago. These antlers became our logo, representing our heritage and the values we hold dear.
